Fairly simple game but the controls and level design really complement each other. It's almost as if it was a prototype for the Shantea games.

Don’t Judge This One by Its Cover!
Sabrina Zapped! turned out to be one of my biggest surprises from ModRetro. When I first saw the box in the shop, I pretty much dismissed it—the artwork and franchise didn’t look like something I’d be interested in. Finding out it came from the developers behind Shantae made me take a second look. After reading a bit more, I took a chance and bought it, and I’m really glad I did.
It’s a lovely platformer with solid gameplay, really impressive Game Boy Color graphics and plenty of adventure elements. I’m having a great time working—or zapping—my way through it, level by level. The physical release is excellent as usual, with beautiful packaging, a lovely booklet and a cute little keychain. The pink cartridge is a particularly fitting touch here.
I’d happily recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good Game Boy platformer, even if Sabrina isn’t normally their thing. Don’t let the cover put you off; there’s a great game inside. One suggestion for ModRetro: make the connection to the Shantae developers a big part of the promotion right from the start. That was what got my attention, and I suspect it would do the same for plenty of other players.

This is a great re-release platformer where you change animals back into humans using cool power ups and attacks. You can even switch between Sabrina and her cat, Salem.

He was excited to get his first “new” game for his “gameboy” and this one seems like a hit for his age. Not too challenging for and fun, colourful visuals.
