In September, we got an email from a French customer named Nico. He purchased an AMD Red M64, a Pro Controller, and all four of our launch games. He was heading to RGC (Rétro-Gaming Connexion), one of the biggest retro gaming expos in France, and wanted to set up his console so people could get their hands on it. RGC is also a major place to meet homebrew developers or console modders of all kinds. Nico had one ask: Could we send a second controller so two people could play at once?
We sent three. Purple, Green, and Clear, so the whole lineup would be on the table next to his red one!

Nico did the rest of the heavy lifting. He updated and calibrated every controller, ran a test night with friends to make sure everything played nice, and spent two days in a room full of CRTs answering questions about a console he bought with his own money. Day one: he ran all four controllers on Halo 64, a homebrew project built entirely by one person, Jack Tulli. Nico grabbed the code and built his own ROM to run on the M64.
After that, he split the table in two: an M64 on Xeno Crisis and an original N64® on Xibalba 64, so people could see the same new games on old hardware and new.

His table was busy the entire weekend. Nico's support means a lot to us and it felt right to provide additional products to promote his booth at the event. We read every message and while we cannot accommodate every request, we are happy to be involved when possible.
ModRetro gets requests daily asking for products. Something about Nico's message stood out to us. We could truly feel his passion for our device through his email.
Messages sent to our support team are shared throughout the company and remind us why we do what we do! Stepping into our customers' shoes and seeing the meaningful impact of our products is truly inspiring. By placing our customers at the heart of everything we do, we build empathy, share in their excitement, and continuously improve all aspects of our company.
And if you're in Europe, some of our products are also sold at Dragonbox in Germany.
