Your M64 order comes with the console, 16GB SD card (pre-installed), multi-region power adapter, and power cable.

You’ll want to make sure you have your own HDMI cable to connect to your display, and your preferred choice of controller. Our M64 Pro Controller is available to order here.

Many of our customers already have controllers they’re bringing to the table, and we don’t want to force people to pay extra for a controller they might not want or need.

Our controller is built to a high standard – premium aluminum body, TMR analog thumbsticks, ultra low-latency Bluetooth SCI®, trident design, compatible with Android, PC, and original N64® consoles. We think everyone would love to own one, but we support your right to choose how to play, whether it's with ours, one from your childhood, or one from another company.

M64 is compatible with M64 Pro Controllers, N64® controllers, Hyperkin® Captain+ Controllers, Retro Fighters®, Nintendo Switch® NSO controllers (requires accessory), and 8BitDo® 64 controllers.

M64 will work with any of your original cartridges, no matter which region you bought them in. Our growing library of M64 games can be found here. We can’t say too much yet, but plenty more are already in development. Please see our compatibility page for more information on backwards compatibility with original N64® game cartridges.

Yes, M64 has built-in Expansion Pak and Controller Pak.Transfer Pak is supported through Chromatic and will become available in a future firmware update.

Yes. Overclocking helps reduce the frame rate drops sometimes experienced on original cartridges. This ensures all your games run silky smooth, allowing you to experience every game exactly how developers intended, without being held back by the constraints of the original hardware. M64 comes with a standard overclocking mode, and we're developing an advanced mode that takes full advantage of the M64's PSRAM memory architecture, which was designed to support higher overclocking than any other console in its class. This will become available via a future firmware update.

A dedicated CRT adapter is available for preorder here, with support for composite, component, S-Video, and RGB output. We designed it as a separate accessory to keep the console price as low as possible for HDMI-only customers, while giving CRT enthusiasts a first-party, lowest-possible-lag solution. In the meantime, M64 includes a range of customizable scanline and CRT filter effects.
