Project S-11 was visibly a highly impressive Gameboy Color game and now it returns for another round. It is still highly impressive and works very well on the sharp Chromatic screen. It is far from easy to make shmups work on a small screen without being cheap or unfair but this game does pull it off. It helps that the difficulty is a bit milder than most shmups but that is a smart choice on a small screen, where you don't have a lot of time to see attacks coming. It does truly feel like this game was made with the limitations of the Gameboy Color in mind.

I was surprised at how colorful this game is and how easy it is to see all the action that's going on. It's interesting that you have a sort of health bar for each life as I was expecting 1 hit deaths. I enjoyed being able to choose any weapon I wanted each time a power up dropped and when you change weapons, you retain the power level. The levels are fast paced and offer a good challenge, there's a password system to help out, and it's easy to see enemies and projectiles.
The game comes with a very nice full color manual that is well written.
This is a great game for short bursts of fun and is easy to recommend.

Didn’t realize I already had the original one when I bought this one. It’s fun but tough.
