A dead Power Core left inside a First Edition Chromatic for several weeks can be unrecoverable. We are releasing a Charging Station soon which will allow you to keep spare Power Cores charged and also revive dead Power Cores within a few minutes. Please be sure not to leave a dead Power Core in a First Edition Chromatic for several weeks to avoid putting it into an unrecoverable state.

    Well worth it!

    While the Chromatic and AA batteries will outlive the Power Core.. and perhaps us all, there's no arguing the connivence of plugging in a USB C cable for just a short while and unlocking hours of enjoyment is a worth while investment.

    ..as a disclaimer, this is not an actual investment, but it sure makes it easier to play more Tetris, and how can that be a bad thing?

    Beautiful

    The Modretro Chromatic works as advertised and more. It brought back so many memories from when I was a kid playing on my Gameboy and Gameboy color. My brother's were impressed with the build and quality of the device. If this is the level of quality I'm getting with a handheld device, I can only imagine what Modretro will deliver with the M64. I anticipate great things the new console.
