Buck and the Cursed Cartridge
Buck and the Cursed Cartridge
When Buck, a die-hard retro gamer, buys a mysterious cartridge labeled “DEFINITELY NOT A CURSED CARTRIDGE” from his local GameStop, things go sideways fast. The moment he pops it into his Chromatic, he’s sucked through the screen and trapped inside the game! To escape, Buck must battle through pixelated worlds, outsmart glitchy bosses, and uncover who—or what—is pulling the strings. With help from a rogue hacker, hidden cheats, and his trusty blaster, Buck’s only way out is to beat the game itself.

Great game! The amount of playtime you get out of it is pretty insane for a platformer gameboy game.
The different themes and enemy variations really adds a lot.
The difficulty level is just about right, not too hard but not too easy either. And if it is too easy, you can always go hardcore mode...

Honestly this is one of the outstanding games on the Chromatic. It feels like a 2D version of a Rare platformer. You move through the level by running and jumping except you can also shoot your way through the enemies. It starts out simple but soon there is a notable exploration element to many levels. On top of that you get some cute mini games and great boss fights.

Has a lot of nods to other classic platform games, it is a fun game that keeps you interested with challenges. Reminds me a bit of the Angry Video Game Nerd games that borrow from other classic platformers.
