Impulse bought this to play some of my old GB cartridges and I was genuinely surprised at the premium quality of every aspect of this device. Not only is it cool to play games on a metal gameboy but the screen is super bright and crisp, the speakers can get offensively loud, and even the small stuff I didn't expect to notice end up as nice quality of life features like how games start the instant you flip the switch. 10/10, everyone should get one of these.

My wife is a Tetris fiend and our GB died, so I was looking for as 1:1 experience as a traditional GB/GBC as I could get. Doing more research than any normal person would do, I found the ModRetro Chromatic. This thing is incredible. Look, feel, sound, and even bundled with a modernized retro Tetris! Excellent. It’s one of those moments where you buy it and then think to yourself “why did I just spend $200 on a GameBoy. Like what am I doing with my life” and then it comes in and you hold it and all those thoughts disappear. And you’re smitten. And you’re considering getting a second one, since you’re likely gonna play it more than your widfe, and you kinda wish you got the orange one anyway……it’s like that.
