    I love my Chromatic!

I got the Volt Yellow Chromatic and some games, and everything is perfect! The screen looks amazing, and I can easily adjust the brightness. The buttons feel satisfyingly clicky. The Chromatic can also play game audio much louder than the original GameBoy Color.

A portable blast from the past!

The look-n-feel is BACK! It's good to know that firmware updates will keep this nostalgia trip going for a long time. Build quality is excellent! My wife had no gaming experience, in the 80s, except for the Gameboy, so I bought this to stoke her interest in retro gaming, and BOY DID IT WORK! Tetris and Dr. Mario got her right back into "playing with power". Now I think she's primed and ready to go for a drive with Mario Kart 64 on the M64!

    Amazing GBC

I have the analogue pocket but prefer to play on this device. It feels right and the build quality is superb. This has got me back into collecting old gb and gbc games. Sound is clear and loud. The screen can be a bit bright but that’s a good think outdoors! If you like to play from a collection or a flash card this is the way.

Solid hardware, great screen, more capable even than advertised.

So we have a metal-body Game Boy Color, approximately the same size as the original, with a lovely backlit screen and optional rechargeable battery, plays original Game Boy/Color carts. So far, so good.

It's far easier to tear down and reassemble than original Nintendo hardware. Even better!

And... What's this? When you open it up there's a Micro SD card slot hidden in there! What can it do? You should Google that.

I just bought a Retroid Pocket Nova shortly before this. A far more capable and equally portable device, as is the Analogue Pocket. But the Chromatic chooses to do one thing, and does it fantastically: pixel-perfect screens are better than shaders and upscaling, it's great to play Game Boy games without excess buttons, and the Game Boy Color library is fantastically large with tons of classics.

    Awesome!

Not perfect but really close. The chromatic looks and feels great. You would never know this thing was made of metal just by looks alone. The battery life is good and the screen looks amazing. There’s a few things I’d change but it’s an overall great device. This device is only as good as the games you have !
