A dead Power Core left inside a First Edition Chromatic for several weeks can be unrecoverable. We are releasing a Charging Station soon which will allow you to keep spare Power Cores charged and also revive dead Power Cores within a few minutes. Please be sure not to leave a dead Power Core in a First Edition Chromatic for several weeks to avoid putting it into an unrecoverable state.

    With disposable battery prices being high and rechargeable batteries seeming to only hold a charge for the exact duration when you don’t need them, this is a must-have for the Chromatic. Can easily be charged in the Chromatic, or in the dock for the first gen Chromatics. And if you just can’t stop playing, you can get a 90° USB-C adapter and keep playing while you charge without the cable getting in the way. (90° adapter not included with the Rechargeable Power Core)

    Never worry about batteries again!

    Battery pack does its job. Seems to last days before needing a charge, and it’s so nice to not have to deal with switching out AAs.

    Extra flexibility in the modern retro age

    While I appreciate the option for AAs, and rechargeable batteries have advanced tremendously, for my lifestyle nothing beats just plugging one of these in, popping a charger in overnight, and being powered up for hours. Love it, and easy to pop in and out to switch things up.
