A dead Power Core left inside a First Edition Chromatic for several weeks can be unrecoverable. We are releasing a Charging Station soon which will allow you to keep spare Power Cores charged and also revive dead Power Cores within a few minutes. Please be sure not to leave a dead Power Core in a First Edition Chromatic for several weeks to avoid putting it into an unrecoverable state.

    Works great

    I've had it for over a year with my 1st edition Chromatic and experienced zero issues. The battery lasts a crazy long time on a single full charge. Awesome option to have along with AAs.

    Modretro w/ the modern take

    No more do you need AA batteries! The company's name Modretro comes full circle meeting the modern age of rechargeable battery pack. I really love not having to use disposable batteries and can charge using the Chromatic!

    Update: The first editions of these may require the charging dock if you get the juice level low. You simply cannot charge from the Chromatic using USB if the voltage is low. I had to contact the company to receive the dock.
