About the Developer

Bio

Name / Studio Name

Eligos Games

Location

New York City

How It Started

My interest started during the COVID lockdown – just looking for something creative to fill the time. I discovered GB Studio and became obsessed with pushing its limitations. The more I explored what it could do, the more seriously I took game development.

Other Games / Projects

I began with a few horror titles like Neighbor and Bitterroot. After that, I started developing the Traumatarium series. The next chapters – Obelisk and Catacombs of Tracia – are currently in the works.

Fun Fact

I usually approach development from a graphic design perspective first. I’m drawn to the world-building and visuals of the Game Boy – it’s always the foundation I build from. The aesthetic drives everything else.

The Idea

Why I Made This Game

I’ve always loved dungeon crawlers, and it felt like a genre that hadn’t really been explored deeply on the Game Boy. So I decided to slowly build on it, layer by layer, with each new iteration.

What Makes This Game Special

Honestly, it started as something just for me – something I wanted to play myself. Seeing people connect with it has been incredibly humbling. That personal origin makes it all the more meaningful.

You'll Love This If...

You love exploring eerie worlds, figuring out punishing mechanics, and soaking in detailed pixel art.

Inspiration / Influences

Too many to name! But a few big ones: Mörk Borg, Warhammer Quest (1995), and classic adventure comics. I’ve tried to mash up all the nerdy things I loved growing up into this world.

Favorite Feature

It’s all about the moments of discovery – when you reach a new area and get to take in the world I’ve built. I especially love working on the background details that help bring those places to life.

    Vibes off the charts.

Like classic Dungeon crawler games, but with more. Gorgeous and unique. Can be punishing at times if you make the wrong decisions.

    Classic Dungeon Crawl

This is a pure dungeon crawler from the late 80s early 90s. Very well made and gorgeous pixel art.
