Every unit is hand-finished in Cerakote, a high-performance ceramic coating rated at 9H hardness.
The labels on Anduril Chromatic are achieved through a process called laser imaging, in which we are changing the color of the Cerakote layer without breaking the protection of the coating.
As you handle the Chromatic, what looks like wearing off of the Cerakote labels is actually oil and skin rubbing off of your hands onto the label.
When you want an out-of-the-box look again, it's simple:
- Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (70%+ works great) to a cotton swab or disposable alcohol pad.
- Firmly wipe the affected area.
- Wipe clean with a soft (microfiber) cloth.
Thirty seconds and most marks will come right off.
