A super addictive little puzzle game. I've played games of this mold where you reach a point where you just can't solve the puzzle... and your time with the game is then basically done. With Toki Tori, the devs thread the needle of really challenging you, but ensuring with enough effort you'll find the solution. Every time I finish a level, I sort of pause and marvel at how the devs thought that up.

As much as I like puzzle games, it's THIS specific kind of puzzle game which I tend to avoid. Something about the constant trial-and-error design usually annoys me, although I admit this is a "me" problem -- probably because my brain is too tired after working all day to engage in logic puzzles. But Toki Tori somehow managed to make me want to play it through to completion anyway, and that when I became stuck on one level for 48 hours. The game is whimsical and cute, and the music is fun without becoming irritating. I picked this up because of the great reviews and because I do like puzzle games, but I was pretty skeptical going in. It won me over, that's for sure! I have no doubt I'll play through this again sometime as I've forgotten all the solutions by now. Very good recommend if you like puzzle games, particularly of the plan-ahead and "if-then" variety.
